Mary’s son David, who founded “D&S Stamp and Coin” in Las Vegas in the early 1960s, had an affection for collecting and selling coins. And he always involved the family. He would tell his kids stories of how grandpa bought bags of silver dollars from the bank so they could sort through them together as a family looking for rare dates and mints. In fact, he found a treasured 1893-S Morgan Dollar in one of those bags.

In the early 1980s, David sold a large portion of his gold and silver to buy a home for his family. He was a smart man that understood the importance of building wealth. He knew what to hold, and what to sell. And it’s with his rich lineage of investment knowledge and experience in precious metals that his son, and National Gold Group’s founder, began his own journey into the gold and silver markets.

But after nearly 2 decades working with the “big gold companies” and becoming one of the top precious metals specialists in the country, our founder saw something that bothered him. The gold industry was becoming shaped for the gold companies, not for the hard-working Americans like his parents and his grandparents.
