American Palladium Eagle is the official United States Palladium bullion coin. Each coin has a face value of $25 and contains .9995 fine palladium. Authorized by the American Eagle Palladium Bullion Coin Act of 2010, the Palladium Eagle uses Adolph Weinman’s design of the Mercury dime, Lady Liberty wearing a winged hat on the obverse, while the reverse design is Weinman’s 1907 American Institute of Architects (AIA) medal design.
The bullion version sold directly by the United States Mint on September 25, 2017 and a proof version priced at $1,387.50 was released on September 6, 2018. Both offerings had an amazing public response; the 2017 bullion coin sold out the day of release within five minutes! Meanwhile, sales of the 2018 proof version were suspended pending verification of the existing 14,782 of 15,000 maximum orders. The American Palladium Eagle coin is very popular with investors, and may be used to fund Individual Retirement Account investments.
